A more specific starting point

Not a basic service. A plan for the way your body works.

Hands of Stone is for people dealing with physical dysfunction: recurring pain, restricted movement, poor muscle activation, digestive issues, or performance that has stopped moving forward. Our services are niche and highly specialized, built around relief, functionality, and performance.

If you are already receiving massage, training, or nutrition support elsewhere, you may not be a fit for this model—you may be getting the standard version of that service. Individual services are available at premium rates, but the recommended entry point for every new client is the Introductory Session.

Massage Therapy

This is not a basic spa massage or a glide-and-relax session. We work with people dealing with pain, injury, chronic tension, restricted motion, and movement dysfunction.

No lotion. No oils. Our hands-on work uses direct contact and focused pressure to address the tissue and movement problems behind what you feel.

  • Trigger Point TherapyWe locate and deactivate tight, hyperirritable knots—trigger points—in muscle that can refer pain elsewhere. Releasing the knot can lower pain and tension.
  • Myofascial ReleaseWe use sustained pressure on fascia, the connective-tissue web around muscles, to release restrictions, restore tissue glide, and improve range of motion.
  • Pin and StretchWe anchor a tight point while gently stretching the muscle or tissue, helping it lengthen and reset.
  • On-table mobility & stretchingAssisted, passive stretching on the table improves tissue length and joint range as part of the massage treatment.

Two kinds of mobility work: on-table stretching is passive and hands-on during massage; the dynamic mobility we coach in the functional training room is active movement performed during exercise.

Specialized corrective work

Corrective Exercise & Mobility

This is not a generic gym program. We use carefully selected exercise and mobility strategies to restore function when imbalances, weakness, restricted movement patterns, or mobility deficits keep you from moving well.

  • Functional training
  • Proprioceptive training
  • Strength training
  • Calisthenics
  • Resistance training
  • Plyometric training
  • Compound movements
  • Isometric movements & holds
  • Concentric training
  • Eccentric training
  • Core & stability training

We match the method to the limitation: restoring proper muscle activation, improving joint mechanics, rebuilding strength and control, and creating stability where the body has been compensating. The goal is to keep tissue healthy and functional over time, tying active mobility and training back to the hands-on work of massage.

Mobility here is active: you learn dynamic movement and control in the functional training room, distinct from the passive, hands-on stretching performed on the table during massage.

Food as information

Nutrition

This is real nutrition education and guidance—not a generic meal-plan handout. Our major focus is helping you understand what foods do what, which foods provide which nutrients, and how to apply that knowledge to a goal.

We use nutrient-dense foods to help you reach calorie and macro targets while getting the vitamins and minerals needed for overall quality of health. A food choice has a purpose: energy, recovery, body composition, digestion, or performance.

  1. Start with your current intakeWe review your daily caloric intake and what you are actually eating.
  2. Set the baselineWe look at macros—protein, carbohydrates, and fats—and how many calories you need to meet bare-minimum requirements for maintaining current muscle and body weight.
  3. Build toward the goalWe determine the calories and macros needed to move toward your specific goal.
  4. Address digestive comfortIf you deal with digestive issues, bowel discomfort, or bowel irregularities, we may suggest digestive supplements to support more effective digestion and bowel comfort.
Glycemic Index (GI) reference

Lower GI lentils, apples, oats

Medium GI sweet potato, basmati rice

Higher GI white bread, glucose

GI shows how quickly a carbohydrate-containing food may raise blood glucose. We use it as one reference—not a pass/fail label—when choosing foods to support your energy, recovery, and body-composition goals.

Peptides & Supplements

We talk about peptides, health supplements, and over-the-counter performance supplements we may recommend to help you reach certain goals—but only after determining that you are healthy enough to use them.

We weigh potential benefits against the risks of unsupervised use, including whether a product is appropriate for your health, recovery, and performance goals. This is education and guidance, not a product pitch.

The Hands of Stone model

These services work together because the source of a limitation is not always where you feel it. We establish the right combination during the Introductory Session, then build the specialized care your body actually needs.

A better first visit

Find the work your body actually needs.

A standard massage, training session, or nutrition plan may be enough for some people. Our model is for people with recurring pain, limited motion, altered mechanics, digestive concerns, or performance goals that need a more exact approach. If you still want an individual service after your Introductory Session, you can book it at a premium rate.
